Excel Addon Kloud function has been categorized into two types of Functions :

  1. KLOUD Function
  2. KLOUD Array Function

1. KLOUD Function

  • The Kloud Function is used to filter the report which returns the single value
  • We can pass the filter in two ways:

Kloud Function

Format

Kloud Function by passing Filter By Value

=KLOUD("ReportName","Filter Name","FilterValue")

Kloud Function by passing Filter By Reference

=KLOUD("ReportName",Filter Name","FilterReference")

Screenshot 2: Adding the filters for the above selected Report

Filter By Value:

  1. Login to the Excel Addon
  2. Now execute the Kloud function by passing the Value

Eg: If user wants to get the Gender of an employee with employee id as the filter then execute the following function in Excel Addon:

=Kloud("genderFromEmpNo","emp_no","1")

Filter By Reference:

After Step2 instead of passing the value we pass the cell reference of the Value as shown below:

Eg: If user wants to get the Gender of an employee with employee id as the filter then execute the following function by providing the reference (A2) of the filter value in Excel Addon:

=Kloud("genderFromEmpNo","emp_no",A2)

2. KLOUD Array Function

  • The Kloud Array Function is used to filter the report which returns more than one value
  • We can execute the Kloud Array function in the following formats:

KloudArrayFunction

Kloud Array function by passing the Filter by Value

Eg: We are running the my_demo_builder_report by just passing the target cell ( which means from which cell the report needs to be displayed)

=KloudArray("my_demo_builder_report", "A2")

2. Kloud Array function by passing the Filter by Value

Eg: We are running the my_demo_builder_report by passing the filter by Value

=KloudArray("my_demo_builder_report", "A2", "first_name", "Test")

3. Kloud Array function by passing the Filter by Reference

Eg: We are running the my_demo_builder_report by passing the filter by Reference

Note: The target cell should not be same as the current cell in which Kloud Array function is executed.
