Atlassian Jira is the world's leading agile project management and issue tracking system. No matter what agile methodology you may use, be it scrum, kanban, or your own unique flavor, from agile boards to reports, you can plan, track, and manage all your agile software development projects from a single tool. The data residing in your Jira account is highly valuable as it contains themes and patterns that your team should be monitoring proactively.
Mining your JIRA database is now much easier with Kloudios integration and this article will explain how to leverate Kloudio's new Jira integration feature to make sense of all your issue and project data.
Create a Jira connection on Kloudio
Setup your connection settings
Start creating reports!
STEP 1: Create a Jira connection.
Go to Kloudio Connections and Click the button to create a New Connection.
You will see the below screen. Click the Setup button under the Jira icon.
Enter your Jira instance url (eg https://yoursite.atlassian.net), username, password and click Next.
STEP 2: Setup Jira sync settings
Now it's time to setup your Jira connection settings.
a) Connection name
b) Choose an existing database connection: This is where Kloudio will sync your Jira data. Once it's synced, its available for creating Kloudio reports in builder or SQL mode.
c) Choose a schema name where you'd like your data to be synced
d) You can also optionally use Kloudio's datawarehouse in case you don't have any datawarehouse to sync your data to.
e) Sync Schedule: Choose a desired sync frequency and time. Kloudio will sync data to the datawarehouse as per this schedule.
f) Click Save & Sync.
Sync job should start running. You will get a confirmation once it's completed running
STEP 3: Start creating Kloudio reports from your Jira connection!
Once the Jira connection is created and synced as per steps 1 and 2 above, you can create reports from this data. This is just like creating any other report as explained in the help article here for builder mode reports or the article here for SQL mode reports.. Just make sure you select the connection and schema as used in the Jira connection settings from Step 2.
